Meet Our Funeral Directors
R. Kyle Pritts, Jr.
|
Kyle is a second generation Funeral Director and
the present owner of Pritts Funeral Home. He grew up in the beautiful
rural mountains of western Maryland. Moving with his family to
Westminster at the age of 8.
After growing up in Westminster, at the age of 13 he attended
and graduated from Carson Long Military Institute with honors.
After graduation at the age of 17, he began working for the family
business Pritts Funeral Home, formerly the Myers-Pritts Funeral
Home on Willis Street. Here he graduated from Catonsville Community
College with a degree in Mortuary Science. After serving his apprenticeship
he was licensed in 1980 and began the merger at the present Pritts
Funeral Home and Chapel when his family relocated due to their
growing business. After the sudden death of his father, he bought
the family business in 1998 from his mother. He has been there
ever since. Throughout the years, he has added a modern day chapel
and conference center. He has served the community with 35 years
in funeral service.
Kyle was an active member of the Westminster Fire Department,
a long time member of the Carroll Post 31 American Legion, the
Westminster Elks, Littlestown Eagles, and the Knights of Columbus.
He is also a member of St. John Catholic Church. An avid sportsman,
he has traveled to many western states in pursuit of big game.
A world traveler, he enjoys traveling to Europe and the Caribbean.
Also a resident of Garrett County, he maintains a 170 acre working
ranch. He enjoys farming, ranching, and taking care of the wild
life and many fruit trees at his ranch. He is also an avid Ravens
and Orioles fan. He is the proud father of Audrey Pritts Coder
of Towson, who is a Shock Trauma Nurse and Emily Pritts, who has
graduated from the College of Charleston and is now in pursuit
of a degree in Pharmacology. He is the proud grandfather of Cameron,
Kylee and Kiera. He is engaged to Amy Boerner, his companion for
over 10 years.
Kyle is proud of the services provided by himself and his staff
to the community. He has created a very beautiful and distinctive
funeral home that has been named Carroll County's Best Funeral
Home every year since 1999 and truly believes "Service Comes First."

Mark D. Morrison
|
Mark was born and raised in western Pennsylvania.
He was in management in the restaurant business when he moved
to Maryland in the early 1990's. This is where he met his best
friend and wife Myung.
After marriage, Mark attended Catonsville Community College in
the Mortuary Science program and graduated Summa Cum Laude while
serving his apprenticeship at Pritts Funeral Home in 2000. He
became a licensed funeral director in 2000 and has remained at
Pritts Funeral Home since.
In 2001, Mark and his wife, Myung, moved to Westminster with their
newborn daughter Alyssa. In 2002, they were joined with the birth
of their son Matthew.
Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is an
avid Steelers fan, a season ticket holder with the Hershey Bears
hockey, likes music, and watching his children play sports.

Mark J. Deskiewicz
|
Mark has been a Licensed Funeral Director and
Mortician since 1999. He is a graduate of The Community College
of Baltimore County, Catonsville Campus where he received his
Associates degree in Mortuary Science. He is also a Graduate of
Eastern University in St. David's, PA where he received a Bachelor's
Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Small
Business Management and a minor in Political Science.
Mark began his career in funeral service when he was a young man
in Philadelphia working along with his father at the Koller Funeral
Home in Roxborough. Mark assisted with many funerals and also
helped with the maintenance of the establishment during his summers
off from school.
While attending Eastern University, Mark met his wife Jennifer
and they were married in August of 1996. Upon completion of his
education at Eastern, they moved to Jennifer's home state of Maryland.
Mark attended CCBC at Catonsville while serving his apprenticeship
in Carroll & Baltimore County. Mark joined the staff of Pritts
Funeral Home & Chapel in June of 2004.
Mark and his wife have two sons, Brandon and Tyler and currently
live in Westminster, Maryland. He is an avid sports fan, especially
the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and the Baltimore Ravens
and Orioles. He enjoys riding his mountain bike, camping and spending
time with his family. Mark and his family attend Crossroads Community
Church in Westminster. Mark is a 3rd degree Master Mason of Ionic
Lodge #145, AF & AM in Reisterstown, MD and along with his
wife, he is a Cub Scout Den Leader for his son Tyler's Cub Scout
Pack #631 in Westminster, MD. Mark is also an Assistant Scoutmaster
for his older son Brandon's Troop #395 in Finksburg, MD. Mark
is an Eagle Scout and really enjoys reliving his childhood days
as a Scout with his family.

John K. Aymold, Jr.
|
John grew up in Baltimore County and was a 1971
graduate of Milford Mill High School. He has been a Licensed Funeral
Director and Embalmer since 1977 when he graduated from the Cincinnati
College of Mortuary Science. He served his apprenticeship and
worked 25 years for Loring Byers Funeral Directors, Inc. in Randallstown,
Maryland and also for 2 years with the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home
in Winfield, Maryland. He came to the Pritts Funeral Home and
Chapel, P.A. in July of 1998.
John has been married to his wife Barbara since 1975 and lives
in Eldersburg, Maryland. He is the father of daughter Kelly
Forney and son Tim Aymold and two grandchildren Allison and
Nathan. He likes traveling, motorcycles, hunting, shooting sports
and is an avid supporter of the Baltimore Ravens.
John has served as President of the Maryland State Funeral
Directors Association, the German Society of Maryland and the
Pikesville Kiwanis Club. He is a member of Zion United Methodist
Church in Shipley. He and his son are also owners of the Mid-Atlantic
Motorcycle Hearse Company.
