Robert John Klein, Sr., 76, of Hampstead, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born on September 24, 1936 in Akron, OH, he was the son of the late John Robert and Cecelia Oprin Klein. He was the husband of Barbara Powell Klein who died in 1997.
He was a retired sheet metal worker at Nelson and Barnes. He was a member of the Carroll County Senior Pool League and the Masons in Akron, OH. He enjoyed doing puzzles, was a Ravens fan and enjoyed being with family and grandchildren.
Surviving him are children and spouses Lori and Dean Swank of Hampstead, Sue and James Veres of Mt. Airy, Greg and Bobbie Klein of Sykesville, Jeff and Stephanie Klein of Charles Town, WV and Robert Jr. and Nancy Klein of Georgia, a sister Dorothy Bridges of Akron, OH, 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by sister Shirley Gordon.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Chris Brammer officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron, OH.
