Christopher Edward Tully, 85, of Westminster, formerly of Chesapeake Isle, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.
Born April 1, 1927 in Audubon, NJ, he was the son of the late Christopher Joseph and Elizabeth Hanley Tully. He was the husband of JoAnn Keener Tully, whom he married on June 9, 1951.
He was an Army veteran serving from 1944-1947 and had worked as a relocation coordinator in the personnel department of the DuPont Company in Wilmington, DE.
He was a long time member of the US Power Squadron and Family Motor Coach Association. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and visited all 50 states, several Canadian Providences and Mexico, most of which were taken in their motor-home.
He was active in many community and church activities as well as scouting and civic associations for many years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters and spouses Kathleen and Isaac Menasche of Westminster and Eileen and Woodrow Willey of Annapolis; grandson David Menasche of Pittsburgh, PA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jane and David McMahon of Cedar Grove, NJ; a niece Carol Kucker and a nephew Edward Benner.
He was predeceased by sister Dorothy Benner.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz and Rev. Dr. Wm. Louis Piel officiating, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
